「中間雖有至不證圓寂」者，於彼七生中間，雖有聖道現前，餘業力持不證圓寂。梵云般涅槃，般云圓，涅槃云寂。

Regarding the passage [beginning with] "Although the noble path appears in the interim [...] he does not realize perfect quiescence": During the interim of those seven births, even though the noble path manifests, he is sustained by the force of remaining karma and does not realize perfect quiescence. In Sanskrit it is *parinirvāṇa*: *pari* means perfect, and *nirvāṇa* means quiescence.
