「依不還位至住此般涅槃」者，此下第二不還差別。就中，一明七種不還、二明九種不還、三明七善不還、四明非生上界、五明雜修靜慮、六明淨居唯五、七明身證不還。此即第一明七種不還。依經生起，及舉頌辨。

Regarding 'Based on the stage of the non-returner... and those who enter parinirvāṇa residing here': below this is the second [section], the distinctions among non-returners. Within this: first, explaining the seven types of non-returners; second, explaining the nine types of non-returners; third, explaining the seven good non-returners; fourth, explaining not taking birth in the higher realms; fifth, explaining the mixed cultivation of dhyāna; sixth, explaining that the Pure Abodes are only five; seventh, explaining the bodily-witness non-returner (kāyasākṣin). This is the first, explaining the seven types of non-returners. It begins based on the sūtras and presents the verse to differentiate them.
