24.52

「唯此七種至立善士趣」者，答。唯此七種皆行善業不行惡業；餘預流等即不爾故，彼雖行善亦行惡故。又唯七種行往上界，不復還來欲界受生；餘預流等則不爾故，不往上界但生欲故。故獨依此立善士趣。

Regarding [the text from] “Only these seven [...]” to “[...] establish the destinies of virtuous persons,” this is the answer. Only these seven perform only virtuous karma and do not perform bad karma; the remaining [practitioners], such as stream-enterers, are not like this, because although they perform good, they also perform bad. Furthermore, only [these] seven types proceed to the higher realms and do not return again to take birth in the desire realm; the remaining [practitioners], such as stream-enterers, are not like this, because they do not proceed to the higher realms but are only reborn in the desire [realm]. Therefore, the destinies of virtuous persons are established solely relying on these.
