"There is revulsion that is also detachment ... all patiences and knowledges," this is the third alternative. Revulsion that is also detachment refers to all patiences and knowledges taking duḥkha-satya and samudaya-satya as their objects that can cause the severing of defilements; because they take repulsive objects as their domain, there is revulsion; because they can remove defilement, there is detachment. The Nyāyānusāra explains: "It should be understood that here, for one who enters the seeing of the truths without having detached from the defilement of desire, the dharma-patiences of duḥkha and samudaya, and all subsequent patiences of duḥkha and samudaya, as well as the duḥkha-knowledge and samudaya-knowledge subsumed under the uninterrupted path within the path of cultivation."
