[The phrase] "This conventional cognition [...] having no possibility of arising" explains the non-arising mentioned in the fifth line. Therefore the Nyāyānusāra states: "Because this cognition definitely does not arise based on that [bodily] support. That is to say, in the body of a follower by faith or a follower by Dharma, there is the potential to serve as a support to induce the arising of this cognition. But in the state of the path of vision, it has no possibility of arising; therefore this bodily support abides in the state of non-arising phenomena, and because the support does not arise, this [cognition] definitely does not arise." Question: At what time is analytical cessation (apratisaṃkhyā-nirodha) acquired? Explanation: Analytical cessation is acquired at the border of the three direct realizations. Therefore the Nyāyānusāra states: "That is to say, at that time the acquisition of sovereignty arises, yet due to the obstruction of other conditions its essence does not become manifest."
