「有餘師言至亦修世俗」者，此師意說：以見道中三現觀邊解脫道修世俗智故，說練根解脫亦修世俗。此非正義，俗智不能斷有頂見惑故。

"Other masters say ... also cultivates the conventional": this master means that because the vimukti-mārgas alongside the three abhisamayas in the darśana-mārga cultivate conventional knowledge, one says that liberation in sharpening the faculties also cultivates the conventional. This is not the correct view, because conventional knowledge cannot sever the afflictions [abandoned] by seeing belonging to the peak of existence (bhavāgra).
