「諸加行道至謂加他心」者，學位練根前五種姓諸加行道，俗、四法、類隨應現修。俗智亦容為加行故故得現修，非容預故他心非現修。未離欲者未來修七，已離欲八謂加他心，非斷障故得修他心。

"In all prayoga-mārgas ... that is, adding [the knowledge of] another's mind": in all prayoga-mārgas of the first five lineages in the sharpening of faculties at the stage of the śaikṣa, the conventional, the four dharma-, and the [four] anvaya-[jñānas] are cultivated in the present according to applicability. Because conventional knowledge may also serve as preparation, it is cultivated in the present; because it is not an unhurried [state], [the knowledge of] another's mind is not cultivated in the present. Those not yet free from desire cultivate seven in the future; those already free from desire cultivate eight, namely adding [the knowledge of] another's mind; because it does not sever obstacles, one is able to cultivate [the knowledge of] another's mind.
