「又未了此名至何待別名」者，經部復作二門進退徵責。若言此名聲能生顯，應一切聲皆能生顯，生即如種生芽等，顯即如燈照瓶等。若謂生顯聲有差別，此足顯義，何待別名？

On "Moreover, when one does not understand this name... why depend on a distinct word?": the Sautrāntika further poses two dilemmas to interrogate and refute [the opponent]. If you say that this word is produced or revealed by sound, then all sounds should be able to produce or reveal it—producing being like a seed producing a sprout, and revealing being like a lamp illuminating a vase. If you say there are distinctions among the sounds that produce and reveal, this sound alone would suffice to reveal the meaning; why depend on a distinct word?
