Regarding "Homogeneous and omnipresent [causes] ... because they all resemble the cause": it explains the third line. If it is a homogeneous cause, it takes only an outflow fruit of its own realm, its own stage, its own category, and its own nature. If it is an omnipresent cause, it takes only a defiled outflow fruit of its own realm, its own stage, and its own nature. Because the fruits obtained by these two causes all resemble the cause, therefore although the causes are two, their fruit is solely one. Question: Just as false view produces the view of self-existence, although their natures are different, because they are equally defiled, it is an outflow fruit. Wholesome produces unobstructed indeterminate; although their natures are different, because they are equally pure, shouldn't it be an outflow fruit? Explanation: Defiled phenomena easily resemble each other, hence they can be fruits; pure phenomena do not easily resemble each other, hence they cannot be fruits.
