「異熟與果至及無間故」者，釋第四句。異熟因與果唯於過去，由果與因非俱、無間。

"The maturation [cause] gives a fruit, up to: 'and being non-immediate'": this explains the fourth alternative. The maturation cause (vipāka-hetu) gives a fruit only in the past, because the fruit is neither simultaneous with nor immediately following the cause.
