Regarding "Having thus explained ... exist in defiled minds": Below, this is the third section, explaining the great defilement ground-dharmas (mahākleśabhūmika-dharma). Within this: first, explaining the name; second, determining the essence. This is explaining the name. The two levels of genitive tatpuruṣa compounds should be explained in accordance with the preceding. Because they constantly exist in defiled minds, they are called 'great'.
