11.53
論「此是增上至重遭害故」，釋增名也。以本地獄適被害已，重遭害故，故名增上被刑害所。
The commentary says: "These are additional... because they are harmed repeatedly"—this explains the name "additional" (utsada). Because having just been harmed in the primary hell, they are harmed repeatedly, they are called places where punishment and harm are intensified.
