論「於芽等生中種等有何力」，論主反問勝論。若芽生時從自分生，種等於芽有何力用？既無力用，何名為種？

The treatise says: "In the arising of a sprout and the like, what power does a seed have?" The Master of the Treatise questions the Vaiśeṣikas in return: If when a sprout arises it arises from its own parts, what power and function do seeds and the like have with respect to the sprout? Since they have no power or function, why are they called 'seeds'?
