13.23

論「若有為法至義可成立」，正量救也。我宗之義，覺、焰、鈴聲可有剎那，色身等物無剎那滅。若有為法皆有剎那，無行動義可得成立。我宗不許皆有剎那，此因不成，何得成立？

Treatise: "If conditioned dharmas […] the meaning could be established." This is the Sammitīya's defense. The doctrine of our school is that consciousness, flames, and the sound of bells may be momentary, but material bodies and the like do not perish momentarily. If all conditioned dharmas were momentary, the meaning of non-motion could be established. Our school does not concede that all are momentary; this reason is unproven, so how can it be established?
