15.34

論「已說從彼至例此應知」，此下明不律儀支、因。如文可解。《婆沙》一百一十七云「如是說者，律儀漸得，非不律儀。所以者何？律儀難得，以難得故漸受、漸得；不律儀易得，以易得故頓得、頓受。」

The treatise says: "Having explained that from them... should be understood by analogy with this."
Below this, the branches and causes of non-restraint (*asaṃvara*) are explained. The meaning is clear from the text. *Vibhāṣā* 117 says: "The correct view is: Saṃvara is acquired gradually, but not non-restraint. Why is that? Saṃvara is difficult to acquire; because it is difficult to acquire, it is undertaken gradually and acquired gradually. Non-restraint is easy to acquire; because it is easy to acquire, it is acquired all at once and undertaken all at once."
