論「此違經故至翻此應知」，引經破餘師說。《正理》云「何緣業中先身後語，於八道支內先語後身？以業中隨麁、細說，道支次第據順相生故。契經言尋、伺已發語。」

[On] the treatise's: "Because this contradicts the sūtra... should be known by inverting this": this cites a sūtra to refute the other master's explanation. The *Nyāyānusāra* says: "For what reason, among karmas, is bodily [action] first and vocal [action] second, whereas within the eight path-limbs vocal is first and bodily is second? Because among karmas they are stated according to coarse and subtle, whereas the sequence of the path-limbs is based on their conforming to mutual arising. A sūtra says: 'Having investigated and examined, one subsequently utters speech.'"
