22.82

論「若彼自體至有實樂受」，論主兩重反難成有部宗。既受自相能生可愛，以其異門觀受為苦，故知樂受自相可愛，非體是苦。

On the Śāstra's statement, "If its own entity... real pleasant sensation exists": The author of the Śāstra uses a double counter-objection to establish the Vaibhāṣika tenet. Since the intrinsic characteristic of sensation can generate agreeableness, and by a figurative method one observes sensation as suffering, one therefore knows that the intrinsic characteristic of pleasant sensation is agreeable, and its entity is not suffering.
