22.95

論「若謂世間至上等樂覺」，論主縱計破。若謂世間於下苦起樂覺、上苦謂苦、中苦謂捨，隨彼說者，樂亦三品不同，應於下苦起上樂覺、中苦起中樂、上苦起下樂覺。

On the Śāstra's statement, "If it is said that the world... superior awareness of pleasure": The author of the Śāstra grants their hypothesis to refute it. If it is said that the world gives rise to the awareness of pleasure toward inferior suffering, considers superior suffering to be pain, and considers middling suffering to be neutrality, and [the Buddha] spoke in accordance with them, then pleasure also has three different grades; one should give rise to a superior awareness of pleasure toward inferior suffering, a middling pleasure toward middling suffering, and an inferior awareness of pleasure toward superior suffering.
