論「能決趣涅槃至得聖者名」,釋決定名及入名也。謂見道能決趣涅槃、決了諦相,得決定名。至見道初說名為入,此忍生已得聖者名,是故此忍名入正性離生,亦復名入正性決定。

The Śāstra states: "Because it can determinately proceed to nirvāṇa... up to: one attains the name of 'noble one' (ārya)." This explains the name "determination" (niyāma) and the name "entering" (avakrānti). That is to say, because the path of vision (darśanamārga) is capable of determinately proceeding toward nirvāṇa and determinately comprehending the aspects of the truths, it receives the name "determination". Reaching the beginning of the path of vision is called "entering"; once this forbearance arises, one attains the name of "noble one". Therefore, this forbearance is called "entering the detachment from birth of right nature" (samyaktvaniyāmāvakrānti) and is also called "entering the determination of right nature".
