論「如前所說修道二種」，已下大文第二諸門辨道。就中有五：一地由道離染、二道引離繫得、三道離地通局、四近分攝道別、五世俗道緣行。此半行頌，第一門也。

On the Śāstra's statement: "As previously explained, the path of cultivation is of two kinds": From here down is the second major section, analyzing the path across various headings. Within this there are five: first, grounds abandoning defilements by means of the path; second, the path inducing the possession of disjunction (visaṃyoga-prāpti); third, the scope and limits of the path abandoning grounds; fourth, distinctions among the paths subsumed by the preparatory stages (sāmantaka); fifth, the objects and mental aspects of the worldly path. This half-verse is the first heading.
