「如前所說至餘由二離染」者，此下第二因論明治道。就中，一地由道離染、二道引離繫得、三道離地通局、四近分攝道別、五世俗道緣行。此即第一地由道離染。

[On the text,] "As stated before [...] the others detach from passion through both": From here onward is the second [section], which clarifies the path of counteraction by way of doctrinal discussion. Within this: first, detachment from passion in a stage through a path; second, the path's inducing the attainment of disjunction (visaṃyoga); third, the scope and restriction of the path's detachment across stages; fourth, the distinction of paths subsumed under the threshold concentrations (sāmantaka); fifth, the objects and modes of practice of the conventional path. This is the first: detachment from passion in a stage through a path.
