25.44

論「諦理真實至有失念退」，第二釋見惑不退。前釋由惑所緣無事、有事，斷有退、不退別。此釋由所知境理事不同，退、不退別。

On the Śāstra's statement: "The principles of the truths are real ... there is falling away through loss of mindfulness": This is the second explanation of why defilements of seeing do not fall away. The preceding explanation distinguished falling away and non-falling-away of abandonment by whether the defilement's object lacks or has an objective fact. This explanation distinguishes falling away and non-falling-away by whether the known domain is principle or concrete fact.
