「論曰至此地有漏」，釋修有漏法也。「諸道」者，謂有漏、無漏加行、無間、解脫、勝進四道。「依此」者，即上諸道，隨依何地現起，名為依此。「得此」者，謂有漏道，依上近分離下染時，及無漏道隨依何地離染之時，至第九品解脫道時得於上地。「修此地有漏」者，如上所說，若依此地、若得此地，即修此地有漏善法。有漏繫地堅牢，不修餘地。故《正理論》釋此頌言「謂依此地世俗、聖道現在前時，未來唯修此地有漏，以有漏法繫地堅牢，難修餘故（已上論文，釋依此也）」。隨依何地離下地染，第九解脫現在前時，亦修未來所得上地根本、近分有漏功德，離下地縛必得上故。

[On] the verse: "From: The treatise states … up to: the contaminated of this stage": this explains cultivating contaminated dharmas. "All paths" refers to the four paths—preparatory, uninterrupted, liberation, and advanced—whether contaminated or uncontaminated. "Relying on this" means the above paths: whatever stage they manifest relying on is called 'relying on this.' "Attaining this" means when a contaminated path, relying on a higher preliminary stage, detaches from the defilements of a lower stage, and when an uncontaminated path detaches from defilements relying on whatever stage, upon reaching the ninth grade's path of liberation, one attains the higher stage. "Cultivates the contaminated of this stage" means, as explained above, whether one relies on this stage or attains this stage, one cultivates the contaminated wholesome dharmas of this stage. Contaminated [dharmas] are firmly bound to their stage; they do not cultivate other stages. Hence the Nyāyānusāra explains this verse saying: "When conventional and noble paths relying on this stage manifest in the present, in the future one cultivates only the contaminated of this stage, because contaminated dharmas are firmly bound to their stage and difficult to cultivate for other stages (the above text explains 'relying on this')." When, relying on whatever stage, one detaches from the defilements of a lower stage, and the ninth liberation path manifests in the present, one also cultivates the contaminated merits of the fundamental and preliminary absorptions of the attained higher stage in the future, because detaching from the bonds of the lower stage necessarily attains the higher.
