26.127

釋曰：前七句答第一問，第八句答第二問。諸道依得此，修此地有漏者，此明修有漏也。諸道，謂世俗及無漏道。此有兩類修有漏道：一、諸道依此地，能修未來此地有漏；二諸道得此地，能修未來此地有漏。依此地者，於九地中隨依何地也。得此地者，隨依何地，離下地染，第九解脫道得上地也。得上地時，能修上地根本近分有漏功德，離下地縛，必得上故。

The explanation says: The first seven lines answer the first question, and the eighth line answers the second question. [Regarding] "Relying on or obtaining this [stage], the various paths cultivate the contaminated of this stage": this explains cultivating the contaminated. "The various paths" refers to the conventional and uncontaminated paths. There are two classes of cultivating the contaminated path: first, the various paths relying on this stage are able to cultivate the contaminated of this stage in the future; second, the various paths obtaining this stage are able to cultivate the contaminated of this stage in the future. "Relying on this stage" means whichever stage one relies upon among the nine stages. "Obtaining this stage" means that relying on whichever stage, when free from the defilements of a lower stage, in the ninth path of liberation one obtains a higher stage. When obtaining a higher stage, one is able to cultivate the fundamental and threshold contaminated virtues of the higher stage; because when one is freed from the bondage of a lower stage, one definitely obtains the higher.
