論「從淨等至自地染污」，述淨定生與無漏同，唯加兼生自地染污。准此，諸地無漏數上更各加一，謂染污也。

The passage of the śāstra 'From the pure meditative attainment, the defiled of one's own stage...' explains that what is given rise to from the pure attainment is the same as from the untainted, with the sole addition of also giving rise to the defiled of its own stage. Following this, one is further added to the number of untainted for each stage, namely the defiled.
