論「故有頂淨至餘生十一」，此述淨定數增無漏，有頂生六、初定生七、無所有八、第二九等，皆依無漏加自地染。

The passage of the śāstra from 'Therefore, the pure of the Summit of Existence...' down to '...the rest give rise to eleven' explains that the numbers for the pure attainment increase over the untainted: the Summit of Existence gives rise to six, the first dhyāna gives rise to seven, Nothingness to eight, the second to nine, and so forth; all are based on the untainted with the addition of the defiled of their own stage.
