論「不時解脫至修超等至」，簡時解脫及有學也。定自在故，簡時解脫。無煩惱故，簡有學也。《正理論》云「唯欲三洲，除北俱盧，然通男、女不時解脫諸阿羅漢。要得無諍、妙願智等邊際定者能超非餘。勝解作意不能無間修超等至，勢力劣故（已上論文）。」

[On] the śāstra's: "The non-occasionally liberated (asamayavimukta) ... cultivate the leaping attainment": This excludes the occasionally liberated (samayavimukta) and trainees (śaikṣa). Because their meditative concentration possesses mastery (vaśitā), the occasionally liberated are excluded. Because they are free of defilements, trainees are excluded. The Nyāyānusāra states: "It is only in the three continents of the desire realm, excluding Uttarakuru; however, it is open to men and women who are non-occasionally liberated arhats. Only those who have attained the marginal concentrations (prāntakoṭika-dhyāna) such as non-conflict (araṇā) and supreme vow-knowledge (praṇidhijñāna) are capable of leaping, and none other. Mentally engaging through resolve (adhimokṣamanaskāra) cannot cultivate the leaping attainment immediately without interval, because its power is inferior" (end of śāstra citation).
