28.61

論「又說四食至應有段食」，引例破也。經說四食如四識住，經無簡別，色、無色界應有段食，有四識住故，經不簡故。

The Śāstra says: "Furthermore, it speaks of the four nutriments [...] there should be solid nutriment." This refutes them by drawing a parallel. The sūtra speaks of the four nutriments as being like the four stations of consciousness; since the sūtra makes no qualification, the form and formless realms should have solid nutriment, because they have the four stations of consciousness and the sūtra does not qualify it.
