29.162

論「或不應執至有違宗過」，縱轉計也。若依本宗是五根境，即違經過；若轉計此非五根境，即違宗過。

The treatise says: "Or one should not hold... there is the fault of contradicting their own doctrine." This allows for an alternative assertion. If, in accordance with their original doctrine, it is the domain of the five faculties, then that incurs the fault of contradicting scripture; if they turn and assert that this is not the domain of the five faculties, then that incurs the fault of contradicting their own doctrine.
