[On] the treatise's: "This root of good of Heat... a different name is further established", this explains entering the stage of Summits from Heat. The Nyāyānusāra says: "The practitioner cultivates this root of good of Heat in lower, intermediate, and upper grades, gradually advancing, and gives rise to conforming faith in the suffering, origination, cessation, and path taught by the Buddha, observing that all realms of existence are constantly burned by fierce flames. With faith as foremost regarding the Three Jewels, there arises the next root of good, arisen from cultivation, of the aids to penetration, named the dharma of Summits, which is a differentiation of the application of mindfulness on dharmas that universally takes the common characteristics as its object."
