'Subsuming intrinsic nature and not others, / because they are apart from other natures' explains the limits of subsumption. The preceding statement that they 'subsume' means that they subsume only their own intrinsic nature and do not subsume other natures; hence it says 'not others.' Because a dharma is ever apart from other natures, they do not subsume one another. Subsumption by intrinsic nature means that form subsumes only form, and mind subsumes only mind. For instance, the eye āyatana, eye dhātu, and the truths of suffering and origination are subsumed by the rūpa-skandha because they share the nature of form. It does not subsume the manas-āyatana, manas-dhātu, the truth of cessation, and so forth, because they do not have the nature of form.
