10.42

「欲緣欲十八，色十二上三。
二緣欲十二，八自二無色，
後二緣欲六，四自一上緣。
初無色近分，緣色四自一，
四本及三邊，唯一緣自境。」

"The desire [realm has] eighteen cognizing the desire [realm],
Twelve [cognizing] the form [realm], and three [cognizing] the higher [realm].
The two [dhyānas] have twelve cognizing the desire [realm],
Eight their own, and two the formless.
The latter two have six cognizing the desire [realm],
Four their own, and one cognizing the higher.
The preliminary stage of the first formless [realm]
Has four cognizing the form [realm] and one its own;
The four fundamental and three thresholds
Have only one, cognizing their own sphere."
