等起色業等者，色業謂身、語、表、無表業等，等取不相應中四相，及得、二無心定，此等諸法名等起善，以是自性及相應善所等起故，而得善名，如良藥汁所引生乳。

"By origination, material karma and the like": 'material karma' refers to bodily and vocal vijñapti and avijñapti karma. 'And the like' includes the four characteristics among the unassociated formations, as well as acquisition (prāpti) and the two mindless absorptions. These various phenomena are called wholesome by origination, because they are originated by what is wholesome by intrinsic nature and by association, and thereby obtain the designation of wholesome, like milk produced from the juice of good medicine.
