14.46

得靜慮律儀，恒成就過未者，此明靜慮戒未捨已來恒成過去及與未來。恒成就過者，謂餘過去生所失靜慮戒，今初剎那必還得彼過去定戒。恒成未者，隨心轉色，勢力強故。若未捨已來，恒成未來。

'Having obtained the restraint of dhyāna, one always possesses the past and future': this explains that as long as dhyāna precepts have not been abandoned, one always possesses the past and the future. 'Always possesses the past' means that regarding the dhyāna precepts lost in other past lives, now in the initial moment one must re-acquire those past dhyāna precepts. 'Always possesses the future': because matter that evolves conforming to the mind has strong power, as long as it has not been abandoned, one always possesses the future.
