問：「何故安立如此二事？」答：「頌言『為治四愛生。』一衣服愛、二飲食愛、三臥具愛、四有無有愛，治四愛故，立四聖種。」

Question: "Why are these two matters established?" / Answer: "The verse says: 'To counter the arising of four cravings.' First, craving for robes; second, craving for food and drink; third, craving for bedding and seats; fourth, craving for existence and non-existence. To counter the four cravings, the four noble lineages are established."
