The explanation says: The first six lines reveal their nature; the next two lines address their bases; the next line addresses the physical support; and the last line explains the meaning of 'power'. 'The power of the possible and impossible has ten' is the general designation. First, the knowledge-power of the possible and impossible has the ten knowledges as its nature. 'Possible' means conforming with reason: as in saying that a wholesome cause can induce a desirable fruit, and that committing an unwholesome karma can bring about a bad fruit—this is possible. 'Impossible' means not conforming with reason: as in saying that a wholesome cause induces a bad fruit, and that committing an unwholesome cause induces a desirable fruit—this is certainly impossible. Because the Buddha's knowledge is able to know the possible and the impossible, it is called the knowledge-power of the possible and impossible.
