27.11

業八除滅道者，第二、業異熟智力，以八智為體，除滅、道二智也。知如是類業感如是異熟，名業異熟智力。除滅道智者，以業異熟非滅、道攝故，業異熟智力除滅、道智也。

'Karma has eight, excluding cessation and the path' refers to the second, the knowledge-power of karmic maturation, which has eight knowledges as its nature, excluding the two knowledges of cessation and the path. Knowing that such kinds of karma induce such maturations is called the knowledge-power of karmic maturation. That which excludes the knowledges of cessation and the path is because karmic maturation is not subsumed under cessation or the path; hence, the knowledge-power of karmic maturation excludes the knowledges of cessation and the path.
