化事由自地者，化前境事由自地心，如化四境是欲化心，化初禪境是初禪化心，必無異地化心生起異地化事故。

Regarding "the apparitional matter is due to its own stage": the matter of the apparitional object in front arises from a mind of its own stage. For instance, creating the four sense fields is an apparitional mind of desire; creating the sense fields of the first dhyāna is an apparitional mind of the first dhyāna. This is because an apparitional mind of a different stage definitely does not give rise to apparitional matter of another stage.
