'Leading everywhere has nine or ten': 'Leading everywhere' refers to the seventh, the knowledge-power of the paths leading everywhere. All formations are able to lead to fruits, which is called 'paths leading everywhere'; because the Buddha's knowledge is able to know this, it is called the knowledge-power of the paths leading everywhere. If one considers it to take only that which leads as its object, it has nine knowledges as its nature, excluding the knowledge of cessation; cessation is the fruit led to, not the path that leads, and therefore the knowledge of cessation is excluded. If one considers it to also take that which is led to as its object, it has the ten knowledges as its nature.
