'Exhaustion has six or ten knowledges' refers to the tenth, the knowledge-power of the exhaustion of contaminants. Speaking of the 'exhaustion of contaminants' refers to the analytical cessation that is nirvāṇa. If one considers it to take only the exhaustion of contaminants as its object, it is called the knowledge-power of the exhaustion of contaminants and has six knowledges as its nature, excluding the four knowledges of suffering, origination, the path, and other minds, because these four knowledges do not take cessation as an object. If it is called the knowledge-power of the exhaustion of contaminants because it is knowledge attained in a body in which contaminants are exhausted, it has the ten knowledges as its nature.
