'By seeing the path, one additionally obtains the Buddha and Saṅgha': 'Path' is the truth of the path. In the stage of seeing the truth of the path, one additionally obtains the Buddha and the Saṅgha. The word 'additionally' indicates that one also attains confirmed clarity regarding the Dharma and morality. The aśaikṣa dharmas of the Buddha are subsumed under the truth of the path; faith arising with them as object is called confirmed clarity regarding the Buddha. The śaikṣa and aśaikṣa dharmas that constitute the Saṅgha of śrāvakas are also subsumed under the truth of the path; faith arising with them as object is called confirmed clarity regarding the Saṅgha. Therefore, only in the truth of the path are the Buddha and Saṅgha present. When seeing the truth of the path, in terms of actual manifestation, there are only two kinds of confirmed clarity, in Dharma and morality. Saying that the Buddha and Saṅgha are present is spoken in terms of acquisition and cultivation: because at this time one cultivates and acquires future faith taking the Buddha and Saṅgha as object, seeing the truth of the path possesses all four [kinds of] confirmed clarity.
