Regarding 'apparent form manifesting': The Supplement states: Because manifest-color is revealed conditionally, resembling an illusion or magical creation, it is called apparent form. Master Ji states: Because the other-dependent form manifests resembling the conceptually constructed, real form, the Abhidharma states that it is the discernment of apparent form; alternatively, because what is apprehended by the eye and mind resembles the form transformed by the fundamental consciousness, it is called apparent form.
