1.375

謂此所出濃厚精血合成一段等者，謂父母精血合成一段，中有末心，起愛煩惱名為顛倒，中有末身名顛倒緣，即彼一段非情精血與中有俱滅，即此同時由種子力，有微細根及造根大種，并餘與根同是有情分不淨精血和合摶生。

Regarding the statement, "It refers to the thick semen and blood produced here merging into a single mass, and so forth": this means that the father's semen and mother's blood merge into a single mass. The final mind of intermediate existence (antarābhava) gives rise to the defilement of love, which is called the "inversion"; the final body of intermediate existence is called the "condition for inversion." That single mass of insentient semen and blood perishes simultaneously with the intermediate existence. At that very same moment, due to the power of seeds, subtle faculties and the great elements producing the faculties, together with the remaining impure semen and blood that belong to the sentient portion along with the faculties, coalesce and arise as a mass.
