1.48

夫教不會理則齟齬而難趣，行不符果則修造之功虛，智不諧境則照物之功僻，有不即空則取捨之情見。

For if teaching does not unite with principle, it will conflict and be difficult to enter; if practice does not tally with fruition, the effort of cultivation is in vain; if cognition does not harmonize with the object, the function of discerning things will be distorted; if existence is not identical to emptiness, sentiments of grasping and rejecting will arise.
