言於語表義能授能開者，泰云：舊曰身口二作，今云身口二表，能表內心故也，於語作業能授，於語作業所詮義能令他開解。

Regarding the words 'able to bestow and able to explain through vocal manifestation of meaning': Tai says that what was formerly called 'bodily and vocal actions' is now called 'bodily and vocal manifestations' because they can manifest the inner mind; through vocal action one is able to bestow, and through the meaning expressed by vocal action one is able to cause the other to understand.
