由無染心，能悲愍故者，依地持，無染心即無貪，以忍依無貪及悲心號忍。今無染心，染心即貪亦得，又即瞋亦得。

'Due to an undefiled mind, being able to be compassionate': according to the Bodhisattvabhūmi (Dichilun), an undefiled mind is non-greed, because patience is designated as patience based on non-greed and a compassionate mind. Here, 'an undefiled mind': a defiled mind being greed is acceptable, and it being anger is also acceptable.
