Regarding "Dharma teaching and correct teaching": The expedient teaching is called the Dharma teaching; the fundamental teaching is called the correct teaching. [Kui]ji says: One explanation is that the three phrases such as "highest of the high" are the wisdom arisen from hearing; the three phrases such as "deepest of the deep" are the wisdom arisen from reflection; the three phrases such as "most superior of the superior" are the wisdom arisen from cultivation, because among the three wisdoms each has higher, middle, and lower. Furthermore, "Dharma teaching and correct teaching" are the three phrases and three grades such as "highest of the high"; "instruction" is the three phrases and three grades such as "deepest of the deep"; "admonition" is the three phrases such as "most superior of the superior." Furthermore, within each of the former three wisdoms, there are the three phrases such as Dharma teaching and correct teaching matched in sequence.
