Ce states: "Because speech arises from investigation, reflection, and so forth, from the second dhyāna upward, being free from those causes that give rise to speech—investigation and reflection—is called the delightful taste of silence. Yet in order to transform sentient beings, one abandons the dhyānas, takes birth in the desire realm, and benefits sentient beings."
