勇猛自性者，景云：剛決者，智慧。堅固者，是忍。無所性劣，有大勢力等精進。基云：今者文意，但偏明精進，則被甲精進等三，次第配之。

Regarding the intrinsic nature of valor, Jing says: "Resolute" is wisdom; "firm" is patience; "unweakened, having great strength," and so forth, is vigor. Ji says: The meaning of the present text exclusively clarifies vigor; thus it matches them in sequence to the three kinds [of vigor], armor-like vigor and so on.
