文中，初問；後答，答中，初有一頌開列章門；第二、長行已去，依章解釋。頌中，上半總列利他七相，憐愍下半總舉十五意樂作事，就長行釋中分二；先解憐愍；次解意樂。

In the text, first there is a question, followed by the answer. Within the answer, first there is one verse laying out the sectional headings; second, from the prose onward, they are explained in accordance with the headings. In the verse, the first half generally lists the seven characteristics of benefiting others; from "sympathy" downward, the second half generally sets forth the fifteen intentions in performing tasks. In the prose commentary, it is divided into two: first, explaining sympathy; next, explaining intention.
